Download link is below

This is official release of Ardis 0.6 icon theme for your desktop.

Follow me on Google+:…

Visit my blog for news about all of my projects:

Ardis is a project that is influenced by Numix utouchicon theme (… ), Simple icon theme (… ) and my other work Flamini icon theme (… ).

Installing instruction:

For KDE users:

extract content of the archive to ~/.kde4/share/icons/ or in ~/.kde/share/icons/ (depends on your distribution setup)

For everybody else:

extract content of the archive to ~/.icons/

And apply theme using your desktop tool.

Good guys from created a PPA for Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty/14.10/13.10 Saucy/12.04 Precise/Linux Mint 17/16/13 users, so if you wish to install icon theme from this PPA, open terminal and paste following commands in it:

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/icons
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install ardis-icons

Icon pack is still in the beta phase because there is much more work to do to complete icon pack, so be patient and give me as much feedback as you can by  contacting me on mail:

If you wish to contribute to this project, please consider buying this icon pack if you have few bucks to spare, or by disabling your ad-blocker on my links on adfly so I can continue development of this icon theme.

Download (please disable your adblock before downloading):

Nice theme! Could you please also provide the SVGs with the theme? And/or can you please provide all icons in all sizes and not actions and devices only in small sizes?

I stopped providing SVG-s because they add too much to overall file size of the theme, and the SVG-s are not really usable (at least on KDE), but anyway I'll upload SVG-s on GitHub soon...

Great theme, man. I know you were requesting screenshoots using the icon theme on the G+ page, too lazy to post there, so I'll share one here: not great but anyways. Xubuntu 12.04 with DockBarX.
Two requests btw,  new mail/messaging icon like you see in the pic would be great cause it looks kinda out of place now, an icon for XBMC and another for sabnzbd (a newsgroup/usenet downloader, .nzb mime icon too but not necessary) would fantastic since all other themes basicaly ignore it (sabnzbd I mean)
Cheers one of my fav icon themes, keep it up.

Thanks for the screenshoot mate ;)
I'll make new icon for mail/messaging for you *buntu users, but I can't find the proper name of this icon...
XBMC, sabnzbd and .nzb are now added to list of priorities, thanks for the request!

The icons look nice, but your distribution model is absolutely reprehensible.

So the only way to get it on here is to pay for it. I'm not going to pay for an icon theme without first trying it and making sure that everything important gets themed. So I go to the link. I wait for a bit, and an ad pops up OVER THE DOWNLOAD button, one of those ads that pretends to be the download button for the thing you're trying to get so it can give you malware instead. Not only that, but after I click the ad away and try to download the theme, it gives me "Setup_ODM.exe". What the actual hell is this?! Trying to push more malware with its "download manager", to be certain. Did you even think about this when you uploaded it there, or are you so preoccupied with getting paid that you don't care if nobody can actually use it? If it weren't for the PPA, nobody'd be able to use this, but even then, people who aren't on Ubuntu are still screwed.

You severely need to rethink your distribution model. Until you do, it doesn't matter how nice the icons look, you will have my condemnation instead of my support.

800+ people downloaded currently icons without any problems, I don't know what exactly bothers you, just enable adblock and download... reason for adfly link is here just because icon making process is not easy, and takes a lot of time, and I wanted to earn some cash so I can fix my laptop (I'm unemployed, and I don't have any income)...
I do care for people to use my icons, and they are not here to make me rich, I don't sell theme, purchase option is here just for donation reason, you don't need to pay anything ever, period.

I've come up with better distribution model, and it will come by the end of summer, when icons will released 1.0...
If you wish for, I'll send you a adfly-free link to download?

Actually, that won't be necessary. I only noticed the skip ad button after a third view of the link. I didn't notice it because of three things:

1: The part of the page that is used for ads is giant compared to the small bar that gets up top.
2: The ad that it presented was pretending to be a download page. You know, THOSE ads. Those ads that I never expect to have to deal with when it comes to acquiring Linux software.
3: On top of it being a download page, there was a second popup window; I initially thought *that* was the ad.

I don't blame you for wanting to monetize your work, but I think you need to find a better way to do so, like a better ad site that isn't going to present intentionally deceptive ads like the one I encountered, "OpenDownloadManager".

there will be one more (beta) release that will use adfly links, after that release I will be putting out 1.0 version, and links to that version will be ad-free... New distribution model is in the making right now
